Pursuit of the “Earthly Millennial Kingdom” runs counter to God’s Character
Various interpretations exist, but according to proponents of an “earthly millennial kingdom,” the chosen followers of God will play a pivotal role in establishing or heralding this kingdom. This belief may partly drive the zeal to have Christianity dominate every aspect of society in America and the world. However, if Jesus is to govern all nations, couldn't He transform them before His return?
The "earthly millennial kingdom" won't be flawless, even under Jesus' reign. Pain, sorrow, and death will persist, yet lifespans will extend to around 100 years. While some still nurture sin internally, constraints will prevent the full expression of their malevolent desires.
Jesus declared, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.” ~John 18:36.
Contradicting Jesus' words, many professed Christians (Christian Nationalists) fight to establish an earthly kingdom. Their pursuit reveals a mere semblance of piety, denying its true essence. Their methods of deception, misrepresentation, and force—unmask their true nature, for it is the character of the adversary.
